Terms & Conditions

These terms apply when you book lessons, courses or other services with Learn Quick Driving School ("we", "us"). By ticking the box when you book, you agree to them. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

1. Booking

1.1 You can book online, by phone or by WhatsApp. An online booking is confirmed once your payment has been received and you have seen our confirmation page or email.

1.2 Please give accurate details when you book, including your experience level, so we can match you with a suitable instructor.

2. Payments

2.1 Prices are shown on our website and may change from time to time. The price that applies is the one shown when you book.

2.2 Online payments are processed securely by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not see or store your full card details.

2.3 2-hour lessons (pay as you go): you pay for your first 2-hour lesson online when you book.

2.4 Advance payments: for 10, 15, 20 and 30-hour blocks and for intensive courses, you pay a £100 advance online when you book.

2.5 Remaining balances: the remaining balance for a block or intensive course is due after your first lesson, once you are happy to continue, and must be paid before further lessons go ahead. Your instructor or our office will explain how to pay. Where you contact us by WhatsApp, we may agree payment by bank transfer.

2.6 New learner offer: the first 2-hour lesson offer is available only to learners booking with us for the first time, and only once per learner.

3. Instructor allocation and lesson availability

3.1 After your booking is confirmed, we will match you with an instructor based on your area, car type and availability. Your instructor will aim to contact you within 24 hours.

3.2 Lesson times are arranged between you and your instructor. We will start your lessons as soon as reasonably possible, but we cannot guarantee a particular start date or time unless it has been confirmed with you.

3.3 We try to meet preferences such as a male or female instructor, or an instructor who speaks a particular language, but this depends on availability.

4. Cancellations by you

4.1 We need at least 48 hours' notice to cancel or move a lesson.

4.2 Late cancellation charges: if you cancel or move a lesson with less than 48 hours' notice, or do not turn up, the booked lesson hours may be charged in full (or deducted from your block or course).

4.3 Lateness: if you are late, your instructor will wait, but the lesson will still finish at the agreed time and the full lesson will be charged.

5. Cancellations by us

5.1 If your instructor has to cancel a lesson (for example due to illness, vehicle problems or unsafe weather), we will rearrange it at no extra cost. If we cannot offer a suitable alternative, we will refund the cost of that lesson.

5.2 Your instructor may end a lesson early if continuing would be unsafe, for example if you appear unfit to drive. In that case, see section 10.

6. Changing instructor

6.1 If you are not happy with your instructor, tell us and we will offer you a different instructor where one is available in your area.

7. Refunds

7.1 Unused hours: if you decide not to continue, we will refund any lesson hours you have paid for but not used, no questions asked. Contact us to request this.

7.2 Used hours: lessons you have already had are not refundable. Lesson hours lost through a late cancellation or no-show (see section 4) count as used.

7.3 How unused hours are valued: for blocks and intensive courses, each hour is valued at the price you paid for the block or course divided by its number of hours. For example, if you paid a £100 advance on a 10-hour block costing £340 and took a 2-hour lesson (2 × £34 = £68), your refund would be £32.

7.4 Refunds are made to the original payment method, normally within 14 days of us agreeing the refund.

7.5 Cancelling before your first lesson: if you cancel before any lessons have taken place, we will refund the full amount you have paid, provided you give at least 48 hours' notice before any lesson that has already been arranged.

7.6 Your legal right to cancel a service bought online within 14 days still applies. If you ask for lessons to start within those 14 days and then cancel, we may deduct the value of lessons already provided.

8. Intensive courses

8.1 Intensive courses are tuition packages. The driving test fee is not included and is paid to the DVSA separately.

8.2 Everyone learns at a different pace. We do not guarantee that any course length will make you ready for your test or that you will pass.

9. Test-day car hire

9.1 Test-day car hire prices start from £100. The final price depends on things like the test centre, the time of your test and any extra practice you want beforehand, and will be confirmed before test day.

9.2 Your instructor may decline to provide the car if, in their reasonable opinion, you are not safe to take the test, or if the test is cancelled for a reason within your control. If the DVSA cancels your test, we will rearrange or refund the hire charge.

10. Your responsibilities

10.1 Driving licence: you must hold a valid provisional or full UK driving licence (or other licence that allows you to drive in the UK) and show it to your instructor at your first lesson or on request.

10.2 Fitness to drive: you must meet the eyesight standard for driving and tell us about any medical condition that could affect your driving. You must not drive under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medication that affects your ability to drive. If your instructor believes you are unfit to drive, they may end the lesson and it will be charged.

10.3 Behaviour and safety: please follow your instructor's directions. We may end lessons or cancel a booking if a learner behaves abusively, aggressively or unsafely.

11. Liability

11.1 We provide our services with reasonable care and skill. Our instructors' cars are insured for driving lessons.

11.2 We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, or for business losses. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

12. Using this website

12.1 We try to keep the information on our website accurate, but prices and availability can change. Please don't misuse the website, try to access the admin area or interfere with its operation.
