How we look after your personal information.
This policy explains how Learn Quick Driving School ("we", "us") collects and uses your personal information when you use our website or book lessons with us. We are the controller of your personal information.
Information we collect
When you book online: your name, phone number, postcode, the course and car type you choose, your driving experience, how you heard about us and anything else you choose to tell us. Our payment provider, Stripe, collects your email address and payment details; Stripe shares your email address and payment confirmation with us, but not your full card details.
When you contact us: your name, phone number, postcode and your message. If you contact us by phone or WhatsApp, we keep the details you give us so we can respond and arrange lessons.
When you use our website: we record basic usage information, such as the pages viewed, the website that referred you, any campaign details in the link you followed (for example "utm" parameters) and whether you used a mobile, tablet or desktop. We record clicks on our call, WhatsApp and booking buttons. We do this without setting cookies, and we do not store your IP address — we use a short-lived anonymous code that changes every day, so we cannot identify you from it.
Cookies
We use a small number of essential cookies to keep the booking process and secure areas of the site working. If we use optional analytics or advertising cookies (such as Google Analytics or the Meta pixel), we will only set them after you agree, and you can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.
Why we use your information
- To provide your lessons (contract): to process your booking and payment, match you with an instructor and arrange lessons.
- To answer enquiries (legitimate interests or steps before a contract): to call or message you back.
- To run and improve our business (legitimate interests): to understand how people find and use our website, and which adverts and pages lead to bookings.
- To meet legal obligations: for example keeping financial records for tax purposes.
- With your consent: for optional analytics and advertising cookies.
Instructor allocation
When we assign you an instructor, we share only what they need to arrange and deliver your lessons: your name, phone number, postcode, the course and car type, your experience level and any notes you gave us about your lessons. We do not share your payment details or marketing information with instructors.
Who we share information with
- Our instructors, as described above.
- Stripe, to take payments securely.
- Our website hosting and email providers, who store data on our behalf.
- Professional advisers and authorities, where the law requires it.
We do not sell your personal information. Some of our providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement.
How long we keep it
- Booking and payment records: 6 years after your last lesson, for accounting and legal reasons.
- Enquiries that don't lead to a booking: up to 12 months.
- Website usage records: up to 26 months.
Security
Our website uses encrypted connections (HTTPS), our admin area is protected by secure login, and access to customer information is limited to people who need it.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw consent at any time. To make a request, contact us using the details below. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
